Chucking Out!

In as much as I love my new room, I hate organizing it. And today is one of those organizing dilemmas. My dad told me that I need to clear the place where I put all my stuff when my old room is under demolition (sadly my old room no longer exist). I already removed about 80% of my stuffs there. The remaining items are either to be given away or chucked out. And it will probably take me days before I organize my stuff into my new room.

Anyway, I’ve started with my “chucking out” (throwing out) project. For some reason, I started with my nail polishes. Funny how I decided to pay great attention on this minuscule of a problem when there are by far many things that I need to do.

Here’s a photo of my “nail polish kit”.

I own a few too many nail polishes. I tend to buy a lot at one go. (I’m really attracted to nail polish because of the pretty colors!)But they’re guilt-free, I don’t have the habit of buying expensive nail polish. The most expensive one I bought would probably cost around PHP 40.00 per bottle.

Just a random info about nail polish. A nail polish lifespan is around 8-12 months (a yahoo article says that it’s 8, while some sites say that it’s 12) and you’re supposed to throw it out when it reaches that lifespan. But there’s a way to lengthen it’s shelf life up to 2 years, and that’s by keeping them inside the fridge! Heat and sunlight destroy the nail polish by separating the ingredients and causing discoloration. Keeping them inside the fridge - where there’s no heat and sunlight - will double their lifespan. It’s actually a very helpful information, but then I can’t imagine my nail polish bottles inside the fridge together with the food and drinks. Just no.

Anyway, here are the nail polishes that I’ll be throwing out. Just judging from the picture, they truly deserve to be eliminated.

For some reason, I own a lot of clear nail polish.

The frosted ones that I bought a few years ago. I’m not sure when have I bought them, but they’ve all dried out.

I’m really attracted to RED nail polish. I just love red nails. And even though I’m not willing to shed out cash for nail polish, I actually wanted to buy a Chanel Nail Polish. Of course, the color would be red!

And now, say hello to my newly organized nail polish kit ♥

Now that I’ve thrown away the old nail polishes, I have space for new ones ♥

Question of the Day:

Do you know how to paint your own nails?
