I had my fair share (if it’s fair to call it fair) of heels during my freshie college days. Running around the campus with my 3-inches was no joke. But I did enjoy wearing those heels. Feeling ko kasi ang tangkad ko, saka parang ang sosyal tignan! Unfortunately, the heels weren’t for me (or they weren’t meant for running?). I’ve had a total of 5 sprains (and hopefully no more) in this lifetime. And 4 among the 5 were from my freshmen years.
Having a sprain is no joke at all. I can’t afford to miss a single day of class so I still went to class with my feet feeling really awful. And trust me, it hurts like hell! Even though I’ve scored quite a number of sprains, I can’t get used to the pain… and I don’t want to. That’s how I deduced that walking in high heels is not for me.
So now, the only footwear that I buy are flats. Speaking of which, I’ve just bought a new one!
These are mint flats from Parisian. They only cost me PHP 399! I haven’t tried them out yet for long walks, but… it’s still a steal!
I can’t wait to wear them ♥
From time-to-time, I still miss walking-in-high heels. And I still wear heels but as much as possible, I limit the heels to 3 inches. I can’t walk with anything more than 3. And I take extra precaution whenever I’m wearing heels… as in I don’t run as I’m afraid that I might get another sprain or worse.
