Globe’s Supposed to be Awesome Deal
…is actually an epic fail!
I’m sure you have head of Globe’s latest deal: Free BlackBerry Curve 9220 on Plan 499, plus tickets to Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday Tour.

No questions asked, it really is an awesome deal. In fact, I’ve experienced it first hand when I helped my brother apply for his postpaid plan. Apart from the long waiting list and an hour long of waiting, my brother sealed and he gets to bring home is handset too!
It seems like Globe is very generous… but only on their new subscribers. Because what I experienced earlier is way, way different. In fact, it’s a total roundabout.
I have changed my plan just a few weeks ago. The changing of plans went smooth, apart from the fact that the business center lacks quality costumer service. One of the staff advised us to use Globe’s hotline, rather than getting a ticket to talk to one of the customer reps personally. How convenient.
No assistance were made nor even offered by the Globe staff in that business center. And honestly, I don’t know much about Globe’s hotline or how will I be able to use it. After a few failed attempts, I finally got it. Talked to a customer service representative via phone call and successfully changed my then-obsolete plan. Horay for the change of plans! But a total disaster came next.
The BlackBerry offer already stands when I asked for a change of plan. I asked the first operator if I’m eligible to a new handset. She told me that she’s sorry and didn’t know the answer, and I was forwarded to the ‘New Accounts’ department. The ‘New Accounts’ told me that they cannot answer my query as I am not a new subscriber, then they forwarded me to another department who said that they’re not the proper department to talk to and that they will transfer me [again] to ‘Loyalty Department’, the first department that I’ve talked to. The fuck, and they’re the first one who told me that they cannot answer my question!
A few days after, a customer representative called my number asking for feedbacks. The hell :)) I’ve experienced hell in that hell hole of a business center. Plus, I’ve been made laughing stock on their customer hotline. So obviously, I gave a negative. The only thing that came out positive is I finally knew that I’m entitled to that free BB. And I’m going to claim it.
Globe’s service has been deteriorating.
And the only reason why I haven’t cut my line is because I hate changing numbers. The number that I’m using right now, is still the same number that I’ve had since 2006.
