The Elite by Kiera Cass

I bought The Elite yesterday, but when I got home I’ve decided to ‘shelf it for now’. Shelf it for now my ass. After taking a nap, I’ve decided to start reading the book and good thing I did! The excitement is just killing me because I’ve been waiting for this book since last year!
Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in the Selection. All but six have been sent home. And only one will get to marry Prince Maxon and be crowned princess of Illea.
America still isn’t sure where her heart lies. When she’s with Maxon, she’s swept up in their new and breathless romance, and can’t dream of being with anyone else. But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, and is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.
Just when America is sure she’s made her choice, a devastating loss makes her question everything again. And while she’s struggling to imagine her future, the violent rebels that are determined to overthrow the monarchy are growing stronger and their plans could destroy her chance at any kind of happy ending —Goodreads
May Mini Haul

1. Etude House’s Oh My Eye Liner
This is my favorite liquid eye liner, and in fact this is my second bottle already ♥
What to love about this product?
- It only costs PHP 199 per bottle (or is it PHP 198?)
- And for that cheap price, you have an eyeliner that stays put in place for hours. It doesn’t smudge at all.
- It’s easy to remove.
- And it’s waterproof, well sorta. Just don’t rub it.
2. Rimmel’s 25 Hour Liquid Foundation
I’ve been eyeing this baby since last year. And I’ve been a little skeptical in buying this one at first, but good thing my skepticism did not win the battle.
What to love about this product?
- The foundation really stays in place for hours. I do remember not retouching when I first tried this. It’s an amazing foundation!
- And it doesn’t clog the pores as well.
3. NYX Matte Finish Primer
I have combination skin, as in I have an oil factory on the T-Zone area. And I’ve been thinking of buying a primer so that my make up can last for hours. So when I saw that there’s a matte finish primer, I never hesitated.
What to love about this product?
- Well to be honest, the primer is actually an ok-ok primer. My make up stays in place for hours, however the mattefying part seems to be overlooked.
4. Rimmel’s Extra Super Lash Mascara
A former workmate once told me that Rimmel mascaras are beyond perfection. And damn, she’s correct!
What to love about this product?
- The price is less than PHP 200.
- It really does add volume to your lashes and it make them look longer.
Tony Moly Berry Trendy Bubble Hair Color

After reading a quite a number of positive reviews online about Tony Moly’s Berry Trendy Bubble Hair Color, I finally gave in and bought one. It’s been a while since I last used a boxed dye. And to be honest, I’m a little skeptical in buying this at first (because the instructions is written in Korean and there’s no English translation) but since all the reviews that I’ve read are all positive, might as well try it. Good thing, the sales lady is very kind in providing the how to’s.
When you open the box, you will see two containers: the bigger one which has a pump, and the smaller container that contains a liquid substance. A sealed bag that contains the cape (I dunno how to call it… sorry) and a pair of gloves. Treatment sachet. And lastly, the instruction guide, written in Korean.
